CALLS ON CONVICTED TAX CHEAT MICHAEL GRIMM WHO STILL OWES $940K TO NYS TAX DEPARTMENT TO FOLLOW SUIT
Voters Have a Right to Transparency from Candidate Who Served Prison Time for Tax Fraud
Staten Island, NY–April 27th…Congressman Dan Donovan today released his 2017 tax returns to the public and called on Michael Grimm to follow suit, saying voters have a right to full transparency from a candidate who was convicted of felony tax fraud charges and still owes a reported $940,000 to the New York State Tax Department.
Donovan will make his returns available to any news outlets interested in viewing the filing.
“The hardworking people of Staten Island and South Brooklyn are struggling to pay their taxes, but Michael Grimm doesn’t think the same rules apply to him,” said Donovan spokeswoman Jessica Proud. “He’s hiding the truth about his shady deal with a DC swamp lobbyist and he’s hiding his taxes. Voters deserve full transparency from a candidate who served prison time for felony tax evasion; enough with the excuses.”
