New York’s Finest Throw Full Support Behind Law Enforcement Champion Dan Donovan

Staten Island, NY — June 5th… The NYC PBA representing the approximately 24,000 men and women officers of the NYPD today enthusiastically endorsed Dan Donovan for Congress, calling him a true champion for law enforcement. This key endorsement is another sign of the strong support for Congressman Donovan following the momentous endorsements from President Trump, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, as well as the NYS Court Officers and NYS Supreme Court Officers Associations.

Congressman Donovan was joined by dozens of officers who came out to show their support in the upcoming June 26th election. They cited his extensive law-and-order background and record of accomplishments in the areas of homeland security and public safety, including his fight to successfully reauthorize permanent Zadroga benefits for 9/11 responders, secure critical Homeland Security funding for NYC, passage of the Thin Blue Line Act and American Law Enforcement Heroes act toughening penalties against cop killers and bolstering law enforcement job opportunities for veterans, among others.

“Now more than ever, the men and women of law enforcement need elected leaders who understand the challenges we face keeping the residents of New York City safe from threats both here at home and abroad, and we are fortunate to have Dan Donovan leading the charge for us in Washington,” said PBA President Patrick Lynch. “Whether it was his time as District Attorney or now as Congressman, Dan has been with us every step of the way. We support him one hundred percent, and we want everyone to understand the importance of this election and keeping him in Congress as our champion for the men and women in blue.”

“They are called New York’s finest for a reason, and the men and women who put on a uniform every day and sacrifice so much to keep us safe deserve our utmost respect and gratitude,” said Congressman Dan Donovan. “Public safety is the number one responsibility of our government, and I am proud to bring my experience as a prosecutor and Staten Island’s District Attorney to Congress where I am leading the charge on important policies that protect New Yorkers from terrorism and give our law enforcement the resources they need to do their jobs. I’m so thankful to be their chosen candidate in this critical election.”
