“Dan Donovan is the rare combination of an effective leader who governs with integrity and gets results.”
Endorsement Provides Another Crucial Ballot Line in 2018 Election
Congressman Dan Donovan (NY-11) today secured the nomination of the Reform Party, providing him with a crucial third ballot line in the 2018 election. The Reform Party nomination comes on the heels of the endorsement of the influential State Conservative Party last week.
“Dan Donovan is the rare combination of an effective leader who governs with integrity and gets results,” said New York Reform Party Chairman Curtis Sliwa. “Whether it’s his work on behalf of law enforcement, our Sandy victims, or the overburdened taxpayer, Dan has distinguished himself as a true representative of our community who stands up and fights for what’s right. We are proud to enthusiastically endorse him as our candidate so he can continue to carry the reform mantle in Washington.”
“Dan Donovan is the embodiment of integrity,” said Staten Island Reform Chairman Frank Morano. “At a time when public cynicism is at an all-time high and confidence in government is at an all-time low, Dan Donovan stands in stark contrast to what people hate about politics. A vote for him is a vote for reforming politics as usual”.
First Vice-Chairman of the State Reform Party, John Tabacco added:
“Dan Donovan votes for what’s best for his constituents in Brooklyn and Staten Island, not special interests. His lifetime has been spent giving his heart and soul into public service for Staten Island. I am proud to endorse Dan Donovan, a man of unmatched integrity. That’s what the Reform Party and the congressional district needs in DC.”
Bob Capano, Chairman of the Kings County Reform Party and Bay Ridge resident stated, “Brooklyn residents deserve a Congressman who will stand by his principles, while also working across the aisle for our community. This is exactly what we have with Dan Donovan. Whether its standing up for small businesses, ensuring our nation’s heroes get the care they deserve at the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital, or standing with our military at the Fort Hamilton Army Base and across our nation, Dan Donovan has been a fighter for Brooklyn.”
“I’ve always said that my job is to represent the people who elected me, not Washington’s special interests, and that’s exactly what the Reform Party movement stands for,” said Congressman Donovan. “Under President Trump, we are finally draining the swamp with needed reforms, but there is more to be done. I’m honored to have the Reform Party’s endorsement as I fight to make our government work better for the people of Staten Island and South Brooklyn.”
The Reform Party represents the interests of voters who are concerned with out-of-control spending, growing budget deficits, an unsustainable national debt, as well as gross mismanagement in government and unethical behavior from our elected representatives. The Reform Party believes that our government functions best when it lives within its means, sets reasonable and common-sense objectives and implements sound policy. The Reform Party espouses practical answers for the challenges we face, and in the belief that good policy benefits the national interest, and not select special interests.
